I completely agree with you. Here are my tiny critiques. What was the whole bully story about and why shoe horn him in just to remind us he exists. What was with the weird god talk just sprinkled in there. Why the merest hint at a lesbian attraction. That’s all. I still loved it.

I really liked the movie and I think it’s a fun romp BUT in order to maintain that I had to make a conscious choice to not dig into the ending because of the time travel paradox that makes the entire move not possible.

Hathaway's character did a flawed thing by ripping Ewan2 away from his "real" family and stealing him for herself, because she's a flawed human character. I would have done the same thing

As a geologist I was just SO happy to get a new Dino movie that isn’t the Jurassic franchise. I love the Jurassic movies. But having something fun like this was so awesome

The ending also is in line with Anne’s character’s not-memoir where she yearns to choose her own happiness over her family. And in a weird way she does? Like she screws over her other timeline version of herself and kids to make her and her kids happy

Denise went thru a change. Which was only possible because of the experience with her husband, who was the one to say they would survive and get home. But he lost his life in that role. So while she allowed her other self to die, she allowed him (who didn’t need to change) to live with her and his reborn family. It made sense to me.

Is the assumption that the version of her and the kids that go back the second time without McGregor will end up dead this time? Otherwise you get in the time paradox stuff very quickly
