It’s wild bc I remember people ripping her APART when she gave her daughter to her dad full time. Women. Mothers were doing and saying this. So yeah we can use neutrogena to blame but let’s not forget how many people ridiculed her very brave choice.

This! And every time I went to a doctor with concerns of my changing health and not ONE even considered perimenopause. One doctor said I was eating too much when I told him I was eating 1200 calories and still gaining weight. No one listening to us!!!

Can we also normalize NOT having kids? So many childfree women are shamed but the truth is that motherhood isn’t for everyone and for some women, the experience isn’t just rainbows and unicorns. The sooner we acknowledge this, the better outcomes we can have, mothers and childfree women alike. ❤️

The people in the mental health field are not always there to help you. One of my friends got committed to the 6th floor at our hospital which is the mental health unit, she had thoughts about harming her husband after an affair and she admitted that so they pink slipped her. She had an IV in her arm and they had missed her vein and she started to get a hematoma on her arm (for anyone who doesn't know this hurts like hell) and she kept telling the doctor over and over she was in pain and he just kept dismissing her until she screamed at him and told him if he didn't get it out of her fucking arm now she was going to rip it out. That's how it started. The stories she has about the way people treat you when they think you're too out of your mind to notice, is honestly scary and dangerous.

My mom was ‘graduated’ from her outpatient program while she actively told them she was still suicidal and needed help. They told her she was doing better than when she started and to just keep seeing a therapist. A week later I got the call and when I answered it I said “Did she do it” I already knew. She begged for help and they failed her. So yes the system is beyond flawed
