Just like everything else, homeschooling can be bad and good. Just like public schools can be bad or good. I think the number one red flag is not being able to talk about the good/bad in either space. I’m so tired of all the incredibly divisive rhetoric. You explain your examples well and I appreciate your content.

I feel like there is another overarching fallacy that I don’t have a name for but see all the time: you call someone a hypocrite for wanting A and not B (here oversight for homeschooling but not teachers), while you completely disagree and want B and not A (oversight of teachers but not homeschooling), which is EXACTLY THE SAME ALLEGED HYPOCRISY! I see it all the time. (You’re pro-life but support the death penalty! Hypocrite! Yeah, but you’re pro-choice but oppose the death penalty!) is there a name for this?
