“You’re selfish.” Sometimes that’s what people hear when you finally learn how to say NO. You, right now, probably think that. No, I can’t do that. No, I don’t have the capacity for that today. No, that doesn’t work for me. No, I’m not going to keep sacrificing my health, my peace, my energy, or myself just to keep everyone else comfortable. And here’s what I’ve learned: Self-love isn’t selfish. Self-neglect isn’t a requirement for being a good person. When you’ve spent years being available, accommodating, understanding, helpful, and putting everyone else first, boundaries can feel uncomfortable. And to people who benefited from you having none? Your boundaries might even look selfish. But learning to protect your time, energy, mental health, and physical health changes something. You stop running on empty. You’re less overwhelmed. Less overstimulated. Less resentful. Less mentally exhausted. And suddenly, you have MORE of yourself available for the people and relationships that matter. You can listen better. Love deeper. Show up more intentionally. Be present instead of simply surviving another obligation. Taking care of YOU doesn’t mean you stop caring about everyone else. It means you stop disappearing in the process. And this becomes especially important when it comes to your health. You are allowed to make your health a priority. You are allowed to change your habits. You are allowed to protect the things that are helping you become stronger, healthier, and happier. You don’t need everyone to understand your boundaries. You need to understand why you created them. So maybe today’s action is simple: Say no to one thing you genuinely don’t have the capacity for. Say yes to one thing your body, mind, or heart actually needs. And don’t apologize for taking care of the person you have to live with every single day: YOU. ❤️ What’s one boundary you’ve learned to set that completely changed your life? #relationships #live #Love #creatorsearchinsights #selflovevideos
