@dhialeesia: Today, on Indonesia’s Independence Day, I just want to appreciate every student who still showed up for class today and more importantly, still enjoyed learning 🇮🇩🎹 All of them are beginners, starting from the very basics. And there’s something really special about seeing someone at the very beginning of their learning journey, simply having the curiosity and spirit to learn. For the last five minutes of each class today, I prepared Tanah Airku for my students to play. It wasn’t perfect, and there are still plenty of things I could be strict about as a teacher, but hearing them play this song on a day like today made it feel meaningful in its own little way. So this is an appreciation post for their starting point, and for everything they can become from here 🤍 On this Independence Day, I hope Indonesia continues to grow, and that more people have the opportunity and access to learn, including through music.
