@tranquilitybyhehe: How To Decline A C-Section 🤰 You never have to say yes just because something is recommended. You can ask why it's being recommended, what your alternatives are, and what the risks and benefits of waiting might be. Follow for evidence-based birth education that helps you advocate for yourself and avoid unnecessary C-sections!
I told my provider that my only birth plan was no c-section. I may have also said that if they even mentioned it that I would check myself out and push my baby out in the parking lot… 😂

Every argument is easy to win when you make up the other side’s responses

Yeah I shouldn’t have to explain myself that much, all that will be said is if baby and I are doing good and I don’t agree to the intervention. If they wanna argue or try to pure pressure me into it then I can get a new doctor

I ended up having to have a C-section because I was scared into an induction that I didn’t want and knew wasn’t going to end well. The C-section turned into an emergency and almost killed my daughter and I. Now I can never have a normal birth bc of the nature of the procedure.

if the provider cannot articulate why a c section is indicated (other than they want your labor over with) why should they expect you to trust their "trust me bro"

They didn’t suggest it till day 5 but I rly didn’t want one so they manually dilated me to a 1 and put in a foley and started pitocin and 5 hours later he was here. I had failur to dialate with all the gentle methods but soon as they did foley and pitocin it was moving several cm per hour

I’ve never seen a dr recommended a c section without an indication. I think I’m lucky. But there’s always a reason.

I saw a doc w “dementia” try to use the suction tool on a 1st time mom when she was only a couple hours into birth. Every time he stuck his hand in her, a stream of blood would follow …

surgical delivery is RARELY best. If mom and baby are fine and theres no signs of infection csec become out of convenience and have more risks than a vaginal or even a vbac
