Not for me. Been married 11 years to my high school sweet heart. I tell her I love her when she's cold, Distant, Argumentative, Spiteful and angry as much as I say it when shes happy, kind, supportive, thoughtful and agreeable. Only those men that see love as a reaction to what is given to them and not an unconditional surrender of self, will say it as a "I love how you love me".
