Parents are responsible for teaching their children how to live for God and to have a working knowledge of His Word. Today’s verse reminds parents and guardians to seize every opportunity to do so. Some parents think providing materially for their children is their greatest responsibility. No, it is not! Their greatest responsibility is to impart the teachings and values of the Word of God. It might not be in a Bible study every day, but constantly and habitually remind them of the goodness of God in your lives. Point out creation on their way to school. At mealtimes, appreciate the God who has provided. God is everywhere; acquaint the children with Him. PRAYER FOR TODAY Dear Father, teach me how to make practical applications of this Word every day so my children grow in You.
