It takes the most special people to be able to do this. Both of my aunts had foster kids when I was growing up and those kids became part of our family , when they left it was hard on all of us even though we were happy for them

I worked with a lady who fostered a little girl from the time she was 2 weeeks old . Then one mother wanted her back when she was six. I told her I don’t know that I could give her back but she said that was her job & her time was up. She had such a strong faith. I would think of the child as mine. That’s when I decided I would not be able to be a foster mother. I praise people that can.

We did foster care all of ours returned home but 2 and are our adopted daughters. There is so many levels to fostering.
