@elleighhasababy: I never imagined I would have to learn how to say goodbye to another baby. After everything it took to get here—the appointments, medications, injections, IVF, the transfer, watching those lines get darker, seeing a heartbeat and finally allowing myself to believe this baby was coming home—we found out at 10 weeks that our baby had stopped growing around 7 weeks 6 days. There was no heartbeat. There are no words for the kind of heartbreak that comes with realizing your body is still carrying a pregnancy your heart has already been forced to grieve. After losing Nellie, experiencing a chemical pregnancy in 2025, and now losing this little life we prayed so desperately for, it would be easy to believe that hope has run out. But it hasn’t. We still have five embryos waiting for us. Five little possibilities. Five reasons to believe our story isn’t finished yet. Right now, I’m letting myself grieve this baby and everything I imagined for them. The due date. The milestones. The bump. The nursery. The life I had already started picturing. And when my body and heart are ready, we will try again. I don’t know why our road to growing our family has held so much loss.
