I’ve had one since its prototype. I think it’s carbide. I’ve sharpened and still have 1/2” maybe more and yes it’s about 15 yrs old. Great scraper/chizel. that brushes a new edition, the engineer must work in his own garage.

I like to use a 100mm wide brick bolster I've never sharpened it either and then I have a range of chisels for the tight spaces
