Replying to @🐻‍❄️ Can you actually make a viral squishy using ONLY dollar store supplies? 😭 Part 2 of my dollar store squishy experiment is officially underway, and somehow this turned into me making THREE completely different DIY squishies. I came home with happy face balloons, Halloween air squishies, Ice Cream Floosh, marshmallow slime, aquarium pebbles, tiny building pieces for crunch, flexible glue, and basically every random thing I could find that looked like it could recreate the texture of those viral cream and crunchy squishies. For the first DIY squishy, I filled a balloon with the marshmallow slime because the texture is actually PERFECT. It feels creamy and clay-like at the same time, which is exactly what I wanted for that thick viral squishy texture. Getting it inside the balloon was an entire struggle until I remembered I literally had a tool that could stretch the opening wide enough. 😭 Then we moved onto the Halloween pumpkin squishy skin, filled it with crunchy aquarium pebbles and Ice Cream Floosh, and accidentally created the HEAVIEST, crunchiest squishy. It also created an absolute disaster because the Floosh wanted to stick to everything except where I needed it to go. 😂 So far we officially have TWO homemade dollar store squishies, and I still have one more combination to make before we can actually compare all three. I genuinely did not expect these random dollar store ingredients to have textures this good.
