I don't really exist in the fandom space of comic books, but my one and only take is that the best thing about DC is it s ability to use its Cinematic Universe to bridge the gaps in it's literary representations. it's such a lukewarm take that I don't even know if I phrased that correctly

I liked it and I can't wait to see more. And I'm SO so excited that the rumors of them investigating Alan Scott's death aren't true. They mentioned that Hal is the first ever human or Earth Green Lantern and I'll take that Alan doesn't exist rather than the first ever member of the JSA shown in the DCU is dead.

with the comic book stuff, tbh, in the first episode, if people opened their ears and listened to Hal speak about his origin and why he is there in that town and keeps an eye on it, is VERY accurate to the source material, especially the Geoff Johns run. the whole thing of Stewart being chosen by the guardians and not the ring is ACCURATE, there being only one lantern per sector is ACCURATE. people who are saying it's a betrayal have only read Geoff Johns run and not the stuff before hand and larp to others
