actually, framers care about the exterior wall sheathing, not the drywall.

What, so the drywall is going to sit on the bottom plate? Who tf pulls the first stud in?
Also this is fine for a DIYer, but no one who does this more than three times a year will ever need or want this.

I'm sorry never done this every one of mine is 16 center I framed a good bit of houses and I never had no problem with my sheetrock falling dead center I mean is he talking about starting to sheetrock on the second stud or something I don't get it which I'm not a framer I've just done a good bit of it and my younger days

Why do people keep bringing up the thickness of drywall? That has nothing to do with it. The other thing is most construction these days uses 12 foot sheet rock.

Wearing a framer’s apron?? If you need this, your wall studs will never be plumb. Best tip ever— lay top plate next to bottom. Strike across both. Perfect vertical alignment every time.

Tape measures are marked to hook it and pull it for 16" on center at 15 1/4", 31 1/4", 47 1/4", 63 1/4" etc so why go through this headache with another tool nobody needs. You would still need to get the tape out for headers & beams SMH
