Hi Sierra, I’m a vet. I would recommend anti anxiety meds if she seems irritated. I can’t properly say without examining her but I have many cases where pets can feel anxious for many reasons. I have followed your content for a while and this is not your fault however you travel a lot and she may be having attachment problems. It can present in many different ways and sometimes it can show as not wanting to be away from you or not wanting to be locked out. If you’d like advice please let me know!

I suggest having a video to show the vet so they can see the behaviors for themselves. Diagnosing behavioral issues can be difficult or misinterpreted if the vet is just going off of a description know matter how well you explain it allowing them to see exactly what your talking about with their own eyes can be extremely helpful to a proper diagnosis 😊

sounds like separation anxiety for sure. on top of perhaps the anxiety meds, look into calming treats, or Fleiway (a diffuser you plug in, like the wall plugs scents). also she maybe bored, look into attempting to have training sessions with her (check out Flounder the cat, her mom does "ballet school" to teach flounder all kinds of tricks). or look into enrichment toys for her to occupy her little over thinking brain.

Willow was the only girl cat before ember right? It could 100% be the change forsure it’s still extremely fresh for her it takes cats over a month to adjust to change

Have you tried pheromone plug-ins? When my cat was having issues, my vet recommended these. When he would have a hard time with meow and just couldn’t settle down and things like that, I would get one for each room took a couple of days, but they’re seriously helped him and he calmed down. Even I’m really high stressful situations they help them. They’re worth looking into.

Has this been since getting Ember? Also there is a natural pheromone called Feliway and it’s supposed to really help with cats anxiety and stress. But it’s really good you’re getting her seen. Get some blood work and just make sure she’s healthy.
