@therapistinrecovery: What I wouldn’t give to talk to #lindsayclancy and fully assess her. OCD feels like such an important thing to have had a specialist look into. And that didn’t happen from what I can tell. So yeah I’m frustrated! #ocd #obsessivecompulsivedisorder #postpartumocd #postpartumanxiety

I have been wondering if she had OCD based on how she behaved leading up to the day.

YES!!!! me and my sister who both have ocd immediately knew that that is what is going on here. there are also cases of people with ocd confessing to crimes they didn’t do, due to guilt and uncertainty about whether they did it

No one has screened her for neurodivergence either. High masking autistic women can have issues with derealization and can go into psychosis.

That’s why she called the police for a wellness check when she saw patty on the camera not getting the crying baby while she was working.

I do think she has OCD with the ruminations and health anxiety. I also think the low hormones could be contributing to her intrusive thoughts and symptoms as they are similar in perimenopause. The intrusive thoughts are so scary!! Zoloft should have helped OCD though instead of make it worse.

I've been that way myself, when dealing with so much system overload, mother hood postpartum negkectgulnhusband postpartum health issues shifts... your mind is exhausted, get confused your own thoughts to think straight so have a thought and then thinking about your rhoughg and literally not understanding it

First person I've heard finally talk about her having ocd. Sounds like she may have had ocd prior to children and having children helped make it more intense etc

The testimony that she was known for asking EVERYONE she worked with questions about child rearing to get multiple opinions on everything? That sounds so much like my compulsions than it does a normal level of questioning

I have postpartum ocd, maybe thats why this case is hitting home. worrying about safety of your kids, your brain is your worst enemy. top that with her being married to a obvious narcissist =perfect crime!😳.so sad!

I wanted to hear more about that conversation! What did mom or Pat say or do after Lindsey said she was having thoughts. He left so much unasked, I agree.

Yes OCD creates obsessive “problem-solving”. Going down that rabbit hole to discover how to solve a problem. I think the evidence presented thus far displays this. Also in narcissistic power relationships, the narcissist gaslight fears so the other person becomes “crazy”, then they calmly point and say “see how crazy she is.”

NGL, as someone with OCD, I have some despicable thoughts - doesn't automatically mean I will act on them.

I want to know what the “harm” in her head she was afraid of…was it the thought of her physically hurting her children or was it that the kids would be harmed because she was neglectful somehow

I have OCD and I hit a bird with my car. I was CONVINCED that it was a human child and that I just imagined that it was a bird. I had to check several times that it was, in fact, a bird. I had to call a friend and have her reassure me that it was a bird.
