its not downtown its on the east side 7th & ventura street. Its definitely not the same anymore. been going there for almost 60 yrs. I had to find a new favorite! The Family's other restaurant Carrillos on Bullard & Villa. Its the family's original cook from Castillos from back in the day. So the food taste identical to the "Original" flavors before the owner passed away.

The service is great, the drinks are big, the chip are very good. But the food has changed. If you remember the enchiladas sauce was the best. If you crave the past go to Carrilos on Bullard Ave the original cooks and recipes are there.
