Nah I don’t think we have to. If I’m not mistaken SJM has said that while the Maasverse is connected, each series can be read independently. She would need to recap any relevant information from CC in Book 6 and 7 for readers who haven’t read CC (as well as TOG). I refuse to read the other two series until I’m ready to, and I won’t read them in prep for book 6.

If you liked acotar you will love crescent city ..and yes you will not understand the first 200 pages or so but it’s worth it

I legit can’t read that series. I have tried so many times, I don’t like crescent city. I can’t get into it at alllll. So I just looked up the ending, I’m cheating, but idc, I gave attempts (even with the audiobooks) and no success.

😄 I'm so happy I read the whole Maasverse 😁 because if the theories are correct, we'll MAYBE be seeing our beloved Throne of Glass characters too. Because the cover has a Stygian spider, which is in TOG 😂 we'll see what happens next

Now imagine all of that but also having to read all of acotar, I’ve read the first book and I just started the second book. I’m gonna be real late to the party. Had to temporarily DNF Onyx storm until I got through this series.
