@mothershipsg: An unaccompanied toddler was spotted running across a road near Punggol Coast Mall on Aug. 15. Speaking to Mothership, the driver who stopped to help the child said that he and his family had just left the mall after collecting some takeaway food. As there were 2 vehicles behind his car, he signalled to the driver behind him to stop to ensure that no one was put in danger. "My top 3 concerns at that moment were ensuring the child’s safety, protecting my family’s safety, and preventing the car behind me from overtaking abruptly," he said. The driver eventually found a man who appeared to be the child’s father about 300m away. However, he told Mothership that the man did not appear concerned or remorseful. Instead, the man simply took the toddler from the driver's arms and said that the child had been "running too fast". #mothershipnews
