My dad used to be very loving and caring towards me, but eventually he changed he was angrier every time he came back from working in Alaska. He was angrier and angrier, and he took it out on me. I used to sit there and pray I used to sit there for hours on my knees at my window, praying and begging for a God to fix him. Yes I was Christian. I went to church every Sunday. I helped with the sermon I helped watch the children when I myself with a child. I sat there and read the Bible with my grandma at home. I prayed after every meal I prayed before every meal I followed everything I could, and when I did something wrong, I begged for forgiveness. I wasn’t a bad kid but every day every night every morning every afternoon, I pray for God to fix my dad to make him stop, hurting me. I was never answered. I was never once answered and for the longest time I thought I did something wrong. I thought I was a horrible child. Why else with the one creator the one person who’s not supposed to turn their back on me do so why else would they do that? Why else would my creator turn his back on me after preaching about being all loving and forgiving I spent years fixating on what I could’ve done wrong and then one day it clicked for me I never did anything wrong. There was no God to listen and there was no God to fix so I cut off my dad and I have never been happier.

I'm an atheist and I don't care if there is a god or not I just want to live a life with love, to be carefree, loved, and to live a life without regret if I go to hell for that then so be it I lived my life. don't let anyone tell you how to act, speak, and what to wear if God truly loved us then he will love us by how we are. But having your beliefs and culture makes you who you are you should never be ashamed or scared of something that you believe in.
