My understanding is not about choosing who over who, rather to balance your commitment on both of them. I believe my wife comes 1st and not that I don't love my children. My children were born after I met their mother. If my relationship with my wife is that of undivided love, it's going to automatically filter to my children, that's my take unfortunately if so👍
