when I was in elementary my mom got me a Noah's ark picture book and I'll never forget seeing a pic of all the animals lined up ready to get on the ark and there were lions and zebras etc and I thought to myself "well, that definitely didn't happen".

My kids go to a Christian school, oldest is 6, I tell them the Bible is a book of stories and lessons and a science book is about facts.

I love that- "the beginning of the story". my youth group mentors and preacher people made it seem like the beginning back when the whole thing started so I never liked that
