I was 23 when I learned that the reason the Egyptian government made it illegal to dig up tombs was because between the 1900s to 1960s European archeologists dug up tombs, only to find they were raided already. and the evidence showed that they were raided so long ago, the identity of the Raiders is now also an archeological mystery, but the identity of who's tomb it was is now lost.
