@philsmypharmacist: Colds, flus and RSV mostly come in through the nose and mouth, so scrubbing hands and skipping the front door of the whole thing doesn’t do much. That’s where nasal iodine comes in. A couple sprays before school, a couple more when they walk back through the door. Iodine works on the outer surface of the virus so it has a harder time hanging around in there. Not all of them are the same though. The wrong kind of iodine burns, which is how you end up with a kid who refuses to use it after day one. Nasamin uses the form that doesn’t sting. Backpack, lunch, two sprays. That’s the routine. 🎒 #backtoschool #sickseason #philsmypharmacist #immunity #dontgetsick
please dont tell people they dont need to wash their hands.... they already aren't doing it enough 😳

Blow your nose in the shower every night. I learned this from a pediatric nurse. You don’t want to go to bed with all the germs sitting in your nose

I’m in year 24 as a school nurse. Started taking this last year when I was moved to primary school. I had to call in sick the second week of school for the first time ever. Those germs are no joke. I started using this and was not sick the rest of the year. I started it before the students even came back this year and encouraged a new nurse to do the same. (Also use it in Sundays for church)

Best evidence I have is typical evening hygiene: nightly cleanliness from the day (showers, clean face, blow and clean noses, and mouth). This helps so much. They won’t be completely immune but when they’re resting, you’ve removed much of the trouble.
