Yes it dose increase the electrical bill of surrounding areas, yes it creates constant noise that’s potentially damaging to both animals and humans alike and may even possibly impact plant life in the surrounding area for a few kilometres based off observations of pollinators such as birds avoiding such centres, yes even on a closed loop it will still guzzle a hell of a lot of water and even more power which means more gas plantations to make up 1/3 of the grid of Australia’s power these data centres are predicted to need, yes ai investment is currently akin to the space race and may not even be profitable as large scale tec companies are currently lossing billions trying to figure out a productive use for it, yes it will likely end up a foreign owned infrastructure just like the other 80% of Australia’s vital resources but Let’s Just Build It Anyway!!! 😸💀
