@hypercars: Toyota took the GR GT and the GR GT3 out at Laguna Seca during Monterey week. First public laps in North America with the camouflage off, at a Reunion where Japanese racing cars were the featured marque. The road car has a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 with a single-motor hybrid, around 641hp, rear-wheel drive through a carbon-fibre torque tube to a rear-mounted eight-speed auto. Front mid-engine, aluminium space frame, roughly 1,750kg. On sale around 2027. The GT3 shares that V8 and swaps the automatic for a proper racing gearbox, built to FIA GT3 rules. The two were developed alongside each other rather than one being adapted from the other. Jack Hawksworth and Tatsuya Kataoka drove them.
