There’s actually a reason for this! DHA reacts with the amino acids in the top layer of your skin to create that tanned appearance. That reaction can vary from person to person, which is why the exact same tan can develop deeper on one person than another. Skin prep and hydration can influence the final result too ✨

Hi! Spray tan artist of ten years here who now owns a sunless brand. Could be prep, could be how long you left it on too but it also could actually be skin pH. Products you use and even your hormones throughout the month can cause your pH to change. Crazy but it can happen! Norvell makes a pH balancing spray to use prior to self/spray tanning and sometimes if it's pH related that can help. 🥰
