@crimechronicles911: On June 14, 2025, police responded to a serious motorcycle crash in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the scene, a woman who identified herself as a registered nurse appeared to be helping the badly injured motorcyclist and claimed another driver had caused the crash. But as officers began looking closer, the story started to fall apart. Evidence on her SUV pointed back to her, and officers suspected she had been driving under the influence. She was later identified as the driver who crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the motorcycle. The motorcyclist, 41-year-old Aaron Barone, suffered life-threatening injuries and sadly died weeks later. Kalynn Settle later pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide while driving impaired and possession of a controlled substance.
