you might be forgetting the most important step🫠 putting money in a Roth IRA is only step 1… you still have to ✨investtt✨that money in order for it to grow, or else it just sits there… like actually i’ve known people to miss out on THOUSANDS simply because people think funding the account is all they have to do. (which makes sense that this is a common misconception because nobody teaches us this🫠) anywho😂 once you’ve moved money into your Roth IRA (or any investment account for that matter), you need to choose what to invest in !! for most beginners, i recommend starting with broad market ETFs that track the overall market instead of trying to pick individual stocks (ex: VTI, VOO, SPY, etc) But do your own research, talk to people that invest, and make sure you’re actually investing that money into somethinggg!! the reason making sure your money is actually invested matters so much is because the power of compound growth. If your money isn’t invested, you’re missing out on years of potential growth, especiallyy if you’re starting young!! so go make sure your money is invested 😙 if you don’t know what to invest in or you want to see my entire investment portfolio it’s at the top of my pageeee💸🥰 #investingforbeginners #rothira #financialeducation
