watching people say they didn't like this scene because she still didn't respect him are missing the point. these scenes is meant to show how she devlops even further and grows beyond just admiration to equal connection with humanity. she isn't perfect- she was condescending. THATS why garent says "yes it did" rose CHANGED here. she GROWS from the start of the scene to the end with her understanding of Greg. she meets him at his level (down to dancing with him, taking the lead and having their hands held equally with each other) it's a beautiful scene of growth and how Greg showed her something beyond simple understanding of human concepts (not just feeling love, but deeply understanding and being compelled by it)

I should have realized sooner that rose was pink because she answered “never” to greg asking if she missed her home planet. The only colony pink diamond ever had was earth, as a rose quartz, this would have been her home planet 😭

The way Greg shouted for her to speak to him like he was a real person reminded me how Pink Diamond would to the same to the Diamonds, to treat her like a real one. Maybe that’s part of the reason she appeared so stunned by him talking to her like that. It was a first to her.

Little head cannon - I think the reason they didn’t fuse was because Rose didn’t believe that they could fuse. While it’s implied Steven can because he’s half human it didn’t explain why he could with a full human, (Connie) and I think it’s because they both believed it could be a possibility.
