The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Halloween, where police and medical responded to The Range LA following calls concerning the shooting, TMZ first reported. “On Saturday, at a gun range, a weapon accidentally discharged while holstered resulting in a superficial injury to film director Michael Mann,” a rep for the director told Rolling Stone. “He was treated and is being released.” A source close to Mann said the incident occurred while the director, an experienced target shooter for decades, was taking target practice at the licensed gun range. Though a medical team responded to the shooting, the injury was considered minor and subcutaneous.
