Kahit gaano pa ka sabay-sabay, ka-organized, at kaganda ang isang competition, kung may criteria na hindi na-meet, mahihirapan talaga kayong ipanalo iyon. Thats exactly why there are judges. Sila ang may hawak ng official criteria, at sila ang may responsibility na mag-evaluate based on what is required not simply based on kung sino ang mas pleasing sa audience. Yes, maganda talaga ang performance ng Amir Bara, no one is taking that away from them. Pero kung may certain criteria na hindi nila fully na-meet, valid lang na maapektuhan iyon sa scoring. A competition is not won by “ang ganda kasi,” it is won by meeting the standards set for the competition. Hindi porket hindi pabor sa gusto natin ang resulta, “hindi deserve ng champion.” Sometimes, you just have to understand the difference between audience opinion and judges’ evaluation. Kung gusto nating i-respect ang competition, then we should also respect the criteria, the judges, and the scoring system. Otherwise, bakit pa tayo may criteria in the first place? You can disagree with the result, but that doesn’t automatically make the result unfair.
