@ghibli.tr: Spirited Away (2001) Hayao Miyazaki defines this sequence as the emotional core of the film. He utilizes the Japanese concept of "Ma" (emptiness) here. He states that a movie requires breathing space to give the action meaning. The train ride provides that necessary pause. It symbolizes the one-way journey from childhood to adulthood. Chihiro sits in silence, observing the shadow passengers, and processes her independence. She leaves her old fears behind on those tracks to face her destiny alone. Visual poetry at its absolute peak. #spiritedaway #ghibli #miyazaki #movies #lonely
