I agree 100% but don't take free gigs that don't align with your brand or bring a certain value, You can't be a house dj taking a free gig at a lekompo event, that is not your audience. Be smart about it.

free gigs is good for exposure and what not it really helps you , but it comes at a cost of me spending for logistics fees and everything and also gigs thats out the city is costly just because its free doesn't mean I should accept every free gig , I still take free gigs for content so people can see that I can play
