We use the laser 6972 locking wheel nut removal tool at my work it works well but we’ve broken one of the sockets trying to remove the old locking wheel bolt

All a waste of time. Any mechanic worth his salt would remove the other studs and drive it until the wheel knocks. Studs back in and the locker will unscrew with long nosed pliers or similar. Job done, no tool needed and no dodgy welding or chiseling. You’re welcome. Pass it on.

You haven’t ran into that problem yet, more like the last guy I forgot to put the wheel lock back in. But I think it’s a pretty cool idea and I’ll definitely look into get one.
