But I hate to break it to you... it’s 100% a myth! 🚫⛪ What you’re actually looking at are the reservoir’s original 1920s valve towers and intake structures. While an entire valley was flooded back in 1913 to feed water to the local ironworks—and the historic Capel y Taf Fechan was lost—the original chapel was completely demolished and the graveyard relocated before the water ever came. people get it mixed up with the resivour further up north.. its was flooded to create drinking water for Liverpool that never used it anyway... flooded a village for nothing along with 70 somrhing people loosing there homes

Was at st fagans talking about the drought and then I went “I wonder if the church spire can be seen yet at that reservoir?” This is where I meant but the team said it was the reservoir for Liverpool but that’s north wales? 👀
