@kubolorbi: THE DAY OF JOURNEY OF ANCESTRAL REMEMBRANCE Maamɛ is a sacred royal journey to the ancestral burial grounds of the Ga people. It is traditionally performed by the Ga Mantse after Homowo to honour departed Ga kings and royals and reaffirm the connection between the living and their ancestors. During the journey, the Ga Mantse KING TACKIE TEIKO TSURU II and his entourage visit the graves of past kings. Kpokpoi, the traditional Homowo food, is sprinkled at the tombs, while libation is poured and prayers are offered for protection, strength, prosperity and blessings for the Ga State. Visit Ghana 🇬🇭
