Violation of his 4th and 2nd amendment rights. The only thing I can see here is that he is in, what appears to be to be a mall, which is private property.

The cop does have the right to temporarily and reasonably take possession of the weapon during his investigation and then immediately return it once he determines that no violation exists.

Texas Paranormal Decay :
I looked up several data on this. Our 2nd Amendment rights prevent police from checking your ID to see if you are a felon. But if you are on private property and the private property says you can't open carry in their business. Then the police can ask for ID. Because the privately owned business has the right to tell you that you can't carry inside of their business.
