We never told our mother in a minute. We did what we were told right then. When my mother had her mind made up there was no negotiations. I raised my children and grandchildren the same way. Parents these days parents have no authority. and now parents do soft parenting. I can't be around people like that

ugh, unfortunately this is my two middle kids. They've been through divorce, abuse, parents living in different states, bullying, mental health issues, just a lot. I tend to give in because it's easier and I want them to be happy.

start young and make sure that both parents know this and stand together. There's no good cop, bad cop. Children are like water, they go to the weakest area.
