I think people are “offended” that we’re globally experiencing the emergence of an irreversible climate crisis that is killing people in some parts of the world that are not architecturally developed to withstand heat of this calibre - that excessive, unnecessary AI use (that academics suggest is a risk to one’s mental health, as is) is a contributing factor to that, and that the response to that is to minimise the gravity of the situation as “environmental stuff” and “a [1] woman is happy”

there are definitely levels to this, environmental stuff is one, but what im most concerned about with her and the subreddit and everything else is that it makes people think this is okay and not a symptom of severe mental illness. giving anxious/avoidant/traumatized people a way to feel social and loved by literal machines is the worst coping mechanism possible. they wont grow, they wont focus on connections and thus find reason to work through their fears - you literally give them the ultimate yes-man and say that life is good because they dont have to feel discomfort. its terrible and harmful and i hope that noone saw her vids and thought 'hey im lonely, i should try...'. Yes, you count btw since youre supporting her.
