@fisherzhangs_in_china: When I asked this Yangshuo local whether he still finds this place beautiful after seeing the same incredible scenery day after day, I really didn’t expect the conversation to go where it did. One minute, I was envying him for waking up surrounded by this scenery every day. The next, I found myself feeling a little sorry for him when I realized there’s something beautiful that many of us experience every year that he’s never had the chance to see: snow. I guess we all take certain things for granted where we come from. Sometimes it’s only when we leave home and see more of the world that we begin to appreciate the beauty in things we’ve come to consider ordinary. It was a lovely reminder to appreciate what we have, because somewhere in the world, there’s probably someone who would consider your “boring” absolutely amazing. ❤️🌍

I remember going there when I was young (teenager). I remember thinking this place is like a postcard photo. I wasn’t a nature person and definitely didn’t appreciate it as much the city view, but it still gave the “damn this place is so serene”
