I love visiting these places and going to a corner in the room and just touching the highest or lowest corner, or a crevice in a beam, the hinge in a door ... anything with such little human contact, because they're the things that haven't been touched as much. so few people touch them, I feel a little more connected to the people that made that place famous and the people that created history... whether it's the builders, the Royals who once lived there, the people who worked in those places...
