People don’t get that Caleb is also a victim of experiments, and he had to sit there and watch Mc die over and over again and take on that responsibility of making sure she was safe while living with the knowledge of what he witnessed. He didn’t get to live in ignorance like she did. He took on the role of being her everything, and he did it gladly, but he always prioritized her over himself, and he was drowning just as much as she was. The fact that people call him a bad guy doesn’t understand him. 😭😭😭

Many people don't even try to understand or don't want to deal with his pain and trauma, which always really hurts me because he's so much more than that, and even that is lovable about him. He's so easy to love when you see the whole of him, but some people rather label him and his pain as baggage, only wanting the "good" parts from him and his handsome looks 🥲🥲 when it is said we love ALL of Caleb, even the worst version of him, we frickin' mean it. No picking and choosing, it is all of Caleb or none of Caleb.

What hurt me the most when reading his lore was that him and mc simply had no hope from the start. Lucious had been watching Caleb since he joined DAA. He was never going to have the simple life he wanted. Now under Ever he's forced to help them do what they did to him and mc, to others. Like the way he reacted at Mia's death 😭🥹
