@todareiskaeto: Emi Martinez to Spurs Apparently we are interested in signing Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa. Martinez is a quality goalkeeper! He’s Premier League proven, a World Cup winner. He’s a big personality and a proper shithouse. I swear man loves the dark arts more than Spurs Twitter loves a transfer rumour… but as good as he is (and yeah he obviously improves the squad), do we actually NEED him? Is the GK position a priority realistically? Yeah Guglielmo Vicario has joined Juventus on loan (with an option to buy), but we’ve still got Antonin Kinsky, Martin Dubravka and WitPro resident Brandon Austin holding it down, so unless something else is cooking in the goalkeeper department this feels a bit like buying a TV when the kitchen’s on fire, especially when Spurs still need to strengthen elsewhere innit.
