@gamesdotgg: Cloud Imperium Games held a developer livestream to showcase the Siege of Orison mission and it went about as badly as it possibly could. The stream, which was meant to show players "the intended design" of the mission and address ongoing feedback, instead became a live demonstration of the exact bugs players have been reporting for years. The team ran into framerate issues, desync problems, broken AI, weapon switching failures, and inventory bugs throughout the hour and a half session before ultimately wiping and being told to wrap up by content director Jared Huckaby. Comments under the stream described it as "incredibly awkward, cringe, forced, slightly sinister feeling at times," with one viewer calling it "a hostage video." A Reddit thread breaking down all the bugs that appeared thanked CIG for the transparency, writing: "You accidentally gave the community the most honest look at Star Citizen in months." The game has been in development for 14 years and has raised over $1 billion through crowdfunding. It remains in early access with no confirmed launch date. #starcitizen #starcitizengame #cloudimperiumgames #gamingnews

These brainwashed fans will deadass look you in the eyes and tell you the 1 billion dollars budget game with 14 years of development that in nowhere near to being finished isn't a scam

as someone who's played Star Citizen, I think it's only a scam if you spend tons of money on it. I bought the cheapest starter ship available (like $45) and for that price? I've gotten my money's worth. yes including the bugs, yes including the times nothing works, yes including the fact that it's been over a decade and a billion in funding. I paid less than the average AAA game and got several hundred hours of (at times, buggy) gameplay out of it. if you let the marketing suckered you into buying the big $2000 capital ships? yeah you got scammed

I love star citizen, it’s really fun right now, but the devs seriously need to lock in.

Anyone calling it a scam is just a sore gamer. You buy your first package and in the details they promise you 100% money back if something happens to the game and a 30 day money back guarantee if you don’t like it. How’s that a scam?

"Seriously, bros. Just give us $500 million more and we promise we'll release a full game soon, bro. trust us bro, seriously. we promise this time!" - SC devs for the last 10 years.

$1.2 billion and 15 years isn't enough. They need at least $3 billion and 25 years.

I'll get a random update about Star Citizen once a year and it's always "no progress has been made on the game, it continues to have problems, ten billion more pre-orders made"

Not only that the devs reportedly started arguing with eachother pointing fingers and blaming everyone but themselves for the games problems they tried throwing some poor new hire under the bus. The whole dev team is a mess.

This what SC needed. To show their own bugs and have to fix them now. I can't wait for planet Genesis. I'll be back for sure A

Not a scam. The game costs $45. It’s not 69.99 like games coming out now. Yes that’s because it’s in alpha and the people playing are essentially play testers. You don’t need to spend more than $45. I paid the minimum and still have a ton of ships in game. There’s a few different ways to get ships also u can buy them with in game money that u make from doing missions ect. There are bugs but who cares 🤣 the game was $45 and u can do things that you cant do in any other game. Not to mention the graphics are so much better than its competitors. Also yes all of us players do agree the devs gotta get there shit together. It’s crazy how poorly a team can do with bad management.
