Under cross-examination, Kevin Reddington highlighted limitations in that data, including differences between what the watch and phone recorded, the Apple Watch ceasing activity around 5:23 p.m., and an effective blackout after approximately 5:38 p.m. Whiffin acknowledged there was no way to determine why the watch stopped recording. Digital evidence can establish timestamps. What it cannot automatically establish is intent.
