In the future always ask to pay by card and not transfer if they request transfer walk away and find someone else. Card payments whether credit or not are covered

This whole situation is a massive lesson for everyone: stop blindly trusting people on social media! It is wild how this guy suddenly called himself a "wedding planner" overnight just because he had huge followings. People usually stay quiet after getting scammed out of shame or because they think they're the only one, which lets the scam keep going. While it is frustrating that no one spoke up sooner to save others from getting burned, it only took one brave girl to expose the truth - everyone should take note and make sure you don't suffer silent and just speak out!

I read this on another page , didn’t know it was you! I was shocked. How can you ask for a damage deposit literally the night before and it’s 750£ for damage deposit. It’s clear that they know brides and grooms will panic last minute and will try and scramble the money. It’s the way he was messaging feeling bad etc when he probably didn’t even feel bad and was happy to receive the money. I’m so sorry you had to go through this and Inshallah you get your money back!
