My husband's mom had CHANGED her ID because she no longer wanted to donate. She was dosed with narcan 5x for a seizure, with no former record of substance use... the Hospital made a gruesome display of making sure we "Knew" we had no say in what they were going to do, and insisted on having 4 separate people come in to explain peeling her eyes to help people see. Donate Life Ohio was horrible and they stole 3 titanium rods she had in her spine

if your license says your a donor and you have a car crash or something simple happen to you they do not try to save your life! that is a fact and they will take everything they can to sell or save someone but won't try to save you make that make sense!

It is reversible. I took mine off. I want to be seen as a person, not as organs to profit off. And they do profit off it. Hospitals already charge too much for lifesaving measures. The family of the people who die have to pay for the hospital services even though the patient died. More often than not people

I’m a organ donor only because if something happened to my family or myself I would want someone’s else’s organ to stay alive or be healed so why wouldn’t I do the same for someone else? Shouldn’t be willing to take without being willing to give.

as long as they charge people for the surgeon, anesthesiologist, the room or anything else associated with the process I won't be a donor. the organ may be donated but they charge you for every little thing. if they were truly in it to save lives then they would have a rotating list of doctors to do the surgery pro-bono. they would write off the expense and do what's truly right. they would also be upfront on the process which they are not.
