there's no point in Spotify for independent artists. #1 social media is better for artist discovery and connecting directly with fans #2 you can make more money with content creation paired with your music on social media. Spotify doesn't even allow you to see who's listening or connect and they pay .004 AFTER the first 1000 streams and before your distribution cut. its pointless. you're competing to pay someone else because you're brainwashed to think that's what youre supposed to do. the reason the rate is .004 and so low is because it's part of a residual deal the major labels did when Spotify paid them hundreds of millions up front! and you're trying to fight for those scraps when you aren't part of that deal. the major labels want monopoly and always have. now their trying to get monopoly over suno

So, are we going to keep things the way they are? That's always my question. I hear and see a lot of content concerning issues of big industry, but, I don't see any solutions. I feel like a lot of it is conversation for not. Honestly, with the direction you end up heading after signing, I would think you'd just want to stay independent and not have a number one record on anyone's chart. I believe we heard most of that is fixed anyway via another piece like this. There seems to be more money in direct sales, merch, appearances, touring, sponsors, etc. on your own. You might not get Beyonce or Jay Z status that way, but, you'll fulfill your passion and be able to eat.
