Hello dear ESA 👋, in the central Andes, on the vast plateau (Altiplano) that encompasses the Salar de Uyuni, it snowed completely this week—an event that has only happened once in 20 years, as it's a plateau the size of Portugal completely covered in snow. This plateau was once covered by a gigantic paleolake, fed by the surrounding glaciers. This is an excellent opportunity to study the ancient depressions that may have held those extinct glaciers. I would personally like to see the Oruro region, which I study with great interest because of its recently extinct lake. Thank you to whoever reads this. 👋
